Dave DeVries
Dave DeVries is the creator of The Monster Engine, an art project that asks the question: What would a child’s drawing look like if it were painted realistically? He is a visual artist who works with acrylic paints, airbrush and coloured pencils to create a direct response to children’s drawings. He uses an opaque projector to trace each line, applying a combination of logic and instinct and then paints the image.
